SES Mechanical in partnership, with the NHS Mid Essex Health Trust completed a £710k upgrade of the Energy Centre at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. This endeavor was essential for the upkeep and enhancement of heating and hot water services within the hospital.
Our team successfully integrated boiler equipment and heating distribution systems throughout the Energy Centre showcasing our proficiency in managing installations within critical healthcare settings without disrupting hospital operations significantly.
Moreover we implemented a gas main, from the external gas meter location to the energy center through two 250mm gas solenoid valves to ensure efficient gas supply to the newly integrated systems.
The Energy Centre project posed challenges concerning positioning new boilers and associated pipework while ensuring optimal maintenance access.
After working with CPW we successfully designed a layout that strikes a balance, between ease of installation and meeting the hospitals future maintenance requirements. The upgrade of the Energy Centre is a component of the Hospitals plan with ongoing SES works extending to the distribution network and secondary systems later in the year. Our teams specialized knowledge in healthcare facility renovations ensured that all tasks were completed without causing disruptions, to the hospitals functions.
Collaborating with Crouch Perry Wilkes Consultants JW Steele, Laser Electrical, PIMs and Powells Controls SES oversaw the installation of boiler infrastructure and associated heating distribution within Broomfield Hospitals Energy Centre.
The pipework was meticulously installed using Stainless Steel grade 304L material with TIG welding by SES Coded Welders. To facilitate this work we established a Welding Bay within the Energy Centre to streamline co-ordination and layout.
The Broomfield Hospital Energy Centre project exemplifies our commitment to delivering high-quality mechanical solutions in critical healthcare environments. Our team’s meticulous planning and execution ensured that we could upgrade essential systems without compromising the hospital’s operations.
We pride ourselves on delivering a full spectrum of Mechanical Services for the Building Sector.
