SES Mechanical in partnership, with Essex County Council through Mitie completed a £210k upgrade initiative at a school in Colchester. The primary goal of this project was to modernize the schools heating and hot water systems to create a learning environment.
Our team undertook the replacement of the existing boiler plant, hot water system and controls in the schools basement plant room. This project not demonstrated our capability to overcome obstacles but also highlighted our proficiency in providing top notch mechanical solutions tailored for educational facilities.
A notable aspect of our strategy involved incorporating a new plate heat to separate components, from the new boilers. This innovative approach improved system. Lifespan.
We added a custom flue system. Connected it to the chimney making sure it blends in with the buildings look and works better.
The renovation at Colchester North School focused on upgrading components such as the boiler plant, hot water system and controls. The challenging location of the plant room in the schools basement accessible via a staircase posed installation hurdles.
With planning and execution our team successfully positioned boilers, control panels and cylinders within the limited space. Leveraging lightwells from a room allowed us to strategically place the equipment for optimal functionality and ease of future maintenance.
The Colchester North School project demonstrated our team’s ability to innovate in challenging environments. By carefully planning the installation process and utilizing creative solutions, we were able to deliver a state-of-the-art heating system in a complex basement setting.
We pride ourselves on delivering a full spectrum of Mechanical Services for the Building Sector.
