SES Mechanical completed a £88,000 heating and plant rooms upgrade project at the unique Hedingham Castle wedding venue. The project focused on updating the heating systems while preserving the historical importance of the site.
Our team provided specialist piping for a new Biomass Plant Room and reconfigured the existing Mansion Plant Room. We also installed and fit new heating systems within the Castle itself, demonstrating our ability to integrate modern technology with historic architecture.
In the Castle itself, we set up heating systems choosing fan convectors for discreet heating. This decision enabled us to deliver warmth while preserving the charm of the castle interiors.
Throughout the duration of the project, we collaborated extensively with the client and experts within heritage to guarantee that all additions were sympathetic to the castle’s historical importance. Our team’s knowledge of modern heating technologies and experience working within historic settings played a pivotal role, in achieving the project objectives.
The successful execution of this project showcases SES Mechanical’s capacity, in providing cutting-edge heating solutions in historically important environments by combining efficiency with the preservation of heritage values.
The Hedingham Castle project presented SES Mechanical with the unique challenge of upgrading heating systems in a historic setting. Working directly for the client, we were tasked with modernizing the heating infrastructure while preserving the castle’s and site’s architectural integrity.
A key element of the project was the installation of specialist piping for the new Biomass Plant Room. This involved careful planning, attention to detail, and execution, to ensure the new systems integrated seamlessly with the existing structure. We also provided connecting pipework from the existing Mansion Plant Room to the new plant room.
Within the Mansion Plant Room, our team reconfigured the existing equipment to accommodate the new installations and align with the updated system design. This work required a delicate balance between preserving existing features and incorporating modern, efficient heating solutions.
The Hedingham Castle project was a prime example of our ability to modernize heating systems in historically significant buildings. Our team’s careful approach ensured that we delivered efficient, modern heating solutions while respecting and preserving the castle’s unique character.
We pride ourselves on delivering a full spectrum of Mechanical Services for the Building Sector.
