Senior Living Comfort

SES Mechanical completed a project £260 000 at Mistley Manor Care Home, offering a wide range of mechanical services. The focus of this project was to ensure the residents and staff, at the care home had access to both heating and water systems that were dependable and energy efficient.

Solar Thermal Hot Water

Our team installed a new central plant room that included, solar thermal hot water systems, boosted domestic water services and a gas-fired boiler plant installation. The project also involved laying down distribution pipework and connecting services to suites – an example of our proficiency, in handling commercial projects.

Our scope of work extended beyond the plant room, covering the installation of the main distribution pipework and services to individual suites. While the internal room plumbing was handled by others, our team ensured that all main services were efficiently distributed throughout the building.

We also provided services to key areas, like the kitchen, bar and laundry rooms; each with unique requirements. Our experience in commercial installations guaranteed that these high-demand areas received the necessary water and heating solutions to meet their demands.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with the both main contractor and the construction team to ensure smooth coordination and that deadlines were met. After finishing the project, SES continue to maintain and service the site.

Project Details

The project, at Mistley Manor Care Home allowed SES Mechanical the chance to showcase our expertise in providing services for a newly constructed care facility playing a vital role in establishing a pleasant and effective living setting, for both residents and staff members.

The key element of our setup was a new central plant room that included a number of important systems. We installed a solar thermal hot water system, harnessing renewable energy to reduce the facility’s carbon footprint and energy costs. This was complemented with a gas-fired boiler plant to guarantee heating and hot water supply throughout the year.

To meet the varied water pressure requirements across the multi-story building we installed boosted water services to cater to different water pressure needs throughout the care home effectively and maintain a steady water flow, for enhanced comfort and convenience.
